- All localisation files you open in the App are processed locally on your Mac; no data is sent to our servers.
- When you translate strings, the App sends the text you wish to translate to the translation service (OpenAI, Gemini, Apple Translate, or Ollama) using the API key you provide. That key and the text are sent only to the chosen provider and are not stored by DevLocaliser.
- The App does not track or log usage statistics, error reports, or any other data about how you use the App.
2. Data Collection
- The only data that leaves your device during a translation request is the text you want to translate and the API key you supply.
- The App does not collect device identifiers, location data, contacts, photos, or any other personal data.
- No advertising network is integrated into the App, so no third‑party ad‑related data is collected.
3. Use of Information
- The purpose of the data you provide is solely to obtain translations from the chosen provider.
- Your API key is used only for authentication with the provider’s API; it is never stored or shared by DevLocaliser.
- All translated text is written back to the localisation files you opened; no information is transmitted to us or any other third party.
4. Data Sharing
- The translation data you provide (text and API key) is transmitted only to the translation service you select.
- DevLocaliser does not share or disclose any of your data to any third party other than the provider you choose.
- The provider’s privacy policy governs how your data is used, stored, and shared on their end. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of the provider (OpenAI, Gemini, Apple Translate, or Ollama) before using the service.
5. Legal Compliance
- DevLocaliser is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
- Because we do not collect or store personal data, there is no need to provide you with the right to access, delete, or export personal data through DevLocaliser.
